A shout out to Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read this book. I was really taken by the synopsis of the book. It is a mystery and it sounded like it was going to be a page turner. However, I could not get passed the writing. It was not the greatest. It was very amateur writing and mind you I do realize that the audience is YA but, I have teens that I know would not be able to stand the writing. It is supposed to be a YA suspense novel that almost feels like it was written for a younger audience but, it is still dealing with mature themes. I don't know.

What the hedge happened. This story had all the creepy things you would want. And when you thought it was done. Bam it leaves it wide open. I enjoy that but hate it too.

I think this is the first book I have read by Natasha Preston and OMG it sets the tone. As each event happens the story sucks you in. I have to admit by chapter 17 I had my prediction and it turned out I was right. I finished the book in a day and can’t wait to start another one. As I can tell the stories are stand alones but this book leaves with a cliffhanger and a possibility that there maybe a second book.
