WATCH YOUR BACK

I'M COMING FOR YOU

Lylah and her friends can't wait to spend a night out together. Partying is the perfect way to let loose from the stress of life and school, and Lylah hopes that hitting the dance floor with Chace, her best friend, will bring them closer together. She's been crushing on him since they met. If only he thought of her the same way...

The girls are touching up their makeup and the guys are sliding on their coats when the doorbell rings. No one is there. An envelope sits on the doormat. It's an anonymous note addressed to their friend Sonny. A secret admirer? Maybe. They all laugh it off.

Except Sonny never comes home. And a new note arrives:

Wooow

I think this is the first book I have read by Natasha Preston and OMG it sets the tone. As each event happens the story sucks you in. I have to admit by chapter 17 I had my prediction and it turned out I was right. I finished the book in a day and canรขย€ย™t wait to start another one. As I can tell the stories are stand alones but this book leaves with a cliffhanger and a possibility that there maybe a second book.

You Will Be Mine by Natasha Preston is a thrilling young adult novel that will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.

The story revolves around friends tangled in a web of secrets and mystery when a series of murders occur in their small town. As the tension rises and the body count increases, the main character, Lylah, becomes determined to uncover the truth and protect her friends.

The plot is well-crafted, with unexpected twists and turns that will leave readers guessing until the end. The characters are well-developed and relatable, each with their secrets and motivations.

Preston masterfully creates a sense of unease and suspense, vividly depicting the eerie small town where the story occurs. The pacing is excellent, keeping the reader engaged and eager to uncover the next puzzle piece.

I recommend it to anyone who enjoys a gripping mystery novel.

It's a little high for my liking. I tried my hand at another Natasha Preston book. I figure I found a good one once, there's gotta be another gem in the bunch somewhere. I mean. But whatever three stars it is. The book is about a group of friends planning to go out and party for the night to get away from the mayhem of University. Their friend is late, there's a knock at the door they assume it's him but it's not. It's a letter that basically reads it's your turn. Sonny is found with his heart missing. Soon bodies are dropping and it all seems to circle around the FMC, Lylah. I'ma do this quick cause I wanna put this in my rearview mirror. The group of friends lives in a home despite no one having a job and being freshmen full time college students. Their friends start dropping like flies with their hearts missing letters and texts from the killer keep showing. And everyone still goes on business as usual. 4 cops on their detail can't keep track of them and the female main character only cares about her crush and how hot he is. The killer is predictable, fifty pages in. The grammatical errors are atrocious but make me giggle. The pace is almost as quickly as this one and I'm done here. It got three stars for the story idea and the fact I got through the whole thing and the first fifty pages hooked me then they dropped. I do wish someone rewrite this somewhat with a bit of suspense for me. Moving on! Read in 24 hours. Loved the plot, and haven't read a murder mystery book like this before! I was engaged the whole time! However, I did figure it out super early in the book, so I felt like I wasn't too scared because I had a feeling it was "you know who"! I would recommend this thriller, and will be reading more of Natasha Preston!
