I enjoyed this book. This book of essays is about the natural world as experienced by the author and the human connection to the natural world.
Some of the essays are concern the author's meditations on peacocks, comb jellies, monsoons, whale sharks and bonnet macaques.

Truly beautiful weaving of personal experiences and the world around us. An exploration worth taking.
This was a random buy based of the cover art alone. It’s such a cute book and I loved hearing about nature.
This is an extraordinary book. A series of short essays reflecting on our natural world, memory, place, and identity. Each chapter focuses on a different plant or animal species. But each chapter is a personal story about the author’s relationship to that part of the natural world. I’ll be returning this book to the library, and purchasing a copy to keep.
