Second audio listening. Its such a good story. I really love this one.
Penn and Copeland were best friends from the right side of the tracks. They had it all until Penn made one bad decision that cost him Cope. They've been bitter rivals since.
Penn is in pain, his heart is broken and shredded, and he longs for the friend he lost. It's been years, and there is no end to the longing in sight; Penn is still in love with Copeland Justice.
Cope is disgusted by Penn. He's never gotten over that one night years ago and never will. He feels nothing but disdain for Penn, but, well, he feels nothing but disdain for everyone, including his current girlfriend.
Penn gets recklessly drunk and gets into a fight at a party and breaks his hand. No one else is helping him, so Cope steps up. He takes him to the hospital, and they spend hours together . He realizes that Penn's confusing feelings for him are still there.
Cope's new solution is to get Penn with a gay guy to pass the feelings onto.
Only.
That doesn't work for Cope. Penn goes for it, and Cope isn't having it. Cope decides that Penn can practice "gay stuff" on him until Cope can find Penn a suitable gay guy and that is where the book gets interesting because the toothpaste leaves the tube and there's no stuffing it back in!
This book is spicy because of the secret aspect and the teaching Penn sex aspect. There wasn't anything wild, but there were lots of scenes. I'm giving it πΆπΆπΆπΆ/5 for the forbidden aspect of it.
There is an HEA and a great epilogue 5 years in the future.
The audiobook is great! Teddy Hamilton and Jacob Morgan are the voice actors for this, and they nail it as always. They are such a great team. This is 2 POV, 2 narrators, duel narration, first person
