I can totally relate to the hopeful lover who instantly knows someone is the one. I’m also a sucker for a happy ending! I enjoyed that it was a quick, spicy read that was also filled with all the feels. I like that Aricka gives a breakdown of her characters at the beginning, and the commentary at the end with her thank you. I believe, willing love makes loving easier. It’s about waking up each day and choosing to love. That’s the kind of love we all deserve—the love that can just be. I liked how they both experienced so much loss, but they managed to navigate that space together without trauma bonding. Instead, they truly bonded through love. I’m not a fan of gender roles, so I appreciated seeing their roles interchange depending on the situation. I loved that Phee really was a gentle giant, she always asked for permission, and wanted the answer verbalized. Angel, sweet and dainty, taking charge was needed to balance this dynamic out! It was a nice touch adding how their families and friends viewed their love in such a positive way as well! The town being pro LGBT+ made me yelp! That was a perfect touch! Had me looking up if it was real. LOL
