Where the Crawdads Sing: Reese's Book Club
A #1 New York Times Best Seller and Reese Witherspoon Book Club pick, Where the Crawdads Sing is at once an exquisite ode to the natural world, a heartbreaking coming-of-age story, and a surprising tale of possible murder. Owens reminds us that we are forever shaped by the children we once were, and that we are all subject to the beautiful and violent secrets that nature keeps.

The book started out slow and I was wondering if anything was ever go to happen. When it did happen, I couldnât stop reading! I loved the mix of nature and mystery!
There was so much content here I didn't like, and most of the characters were either really awful, kind of awful, or a stereotype. I actually think the movie made some great changes while remaining a faithful adaptation, and I think I would have had a more positive take on the story if I had only watched that. I can see why this is popular, and I think the parts about the marsh and the wildlife are really nice, but for me it ticked a lot of my "hate this" boxes.
