What Happened to Nina? was a book I truly enjoyed from beginning to end. The storytelling was engaging and well-paced, immediately pulling me in from the very first chapter. It’s one of those stories that grabs your attention right away and doesn’t let go. The character development was especially strong. Each character felt layered and realistic, which made the story even more compelling. I found myself completely invested in what was happening and eager to see how everything would unfold. There were several well-executed twists and turns that kept the suspense building without feeling overdone. Just when I thought I had things figured out, the story shifted in an unexpected way. I genuinely couldn’t stop listening and looked forward to every chance I had to continue it. Overall, I would definitely recommend What Happened to Nina? to anyone who enjoys a gripping story with strong characters and surprising moments along the way.

I wanted to try a mystery because I don’t read this genre often. This was a quick read, but not great. Predictable and all seemed to easy to resolve. The writing seemed like it might be better for a teenager. I felt empathy for the loss of a child, but just as I started to feel sad, the writer moved on quickly. I do admire the writers passion for writing though after reading the acknowledgments at the end.

Eh it was okay. We sort knew the ending from the start essentially? Not her best work but thought provoking in terms of how far you’d go for your child. 5/10
