Vampires, Bones and Treacle Scones (Liss MacCrimmon Mystery)

I had checked this book out of my library before Halloween. I wanted some spooky books to read, and this was on display in the fall section and the cover caught my eye- absolutely adorable. For some reason I kept putting off reading it, reading the other books I checked out, and renewing this one. I finally read it. It wasn't all bad, but it wasn't what I expected. It's part of a series but not super hard to follow along. There were only a few things I didn't know about since I didn't read the other books. I thought this would be more about Halloween, based on the title and the cover, so I was a little disappointed. It was only about Halloween for a short time in the beginning. The rest of the book is about solving a mystery. It was kind of a slow read, didn't exactly hold my attention but I finished it. The ending was decent. I wouldn't really read the entire series but I may read the Christmas one that came over after this. Over all I would give this book 3 and a half stars.
