Vampire Kisses 9: Immortal Hearts

Immortal Hearts concludes Ellen Schreiber’s romantic, exciting Vampire Kisses series.

In Immortal Hearts from the popular Vampire Kisses series by Ellen Schreiber, Alexander’s little sister Athena “Stormy” Sterling comes to Dullsville, stirring up the immortal world. Her visit gives teen goth-girl Raven a clearer picture of what life as a member of Alexander’s vampire family would be like.

Nothing she sees lessens her desire to become a vampire. She adores Alexander. She’s sure spending every night with him and sleeping in his arms in his coffin every day would be the perfect life. But she hasn’t been able to convince her vampire love that he should turn her. At least not yet…

Fans won’t want to miss the last chapter in Raven and Alexander’s love story.

Raven is a goth girl living in a town that is decidedly not goth at all. In fact, she is the only goth in the entire town. A pair of fishnet stockings in a sea of khakis, if you will. She loves all things dark and morbid, especially vampires. When a new guy moves into the old mansion on Benson Hill, Raven becomes suspicious - and hopeful - given Alexander Sterling's penchant for dark clothes, hanging out in cemeteries, and only coming out at night. Is the gorgeous new guy in town who is conveniently home schooled a vampire or is it all just a rumor started by her high school nemesis Trevor Mitchell?

This book is actually three books in one. It's geared more toward young adults so there isn't anything especially difficult about the book. In fact, one of my complaints that knock this down a little in rating is the fact that it could have been more descriptive, could have went into more detail regarding the character's thoughts, emotions, etc. I get that technically this is young adult set of novels but I like to give younger readers a lot more credit! I hate when a book seems watered down to the point where it almost seems like it would have made a better movie series, a better script. That is the vibe that these three books gave off to me. As I was reading, I was wishing more and more that I wasn't reading the story but watching it play out before me visually. Don't misunderstand, this was an entertaining read for the most part and it's hardly the worst I've ever read! However, I think this would have made a better series of movies than a series of books. There are three or so more books after this, but I'm probably not going to seek them out even though the last book left off on a cliffhanger.

I'm serious, though! I would totally watch these movies if they were developed!

Adorably cute and everyone (well almost everyone minus 2 people) are happy.
