Some writers milk the daylights out of a series. Grafton was hitting a low with half her alphabets. Nothing new or inspiring. She simply should give up writing. Glad to say, she just took some much needed time off to get her creative juices flowing and came out with a stellar book! You are back, GRafton. Glad to read it.

I love the characters and visiting them is like visiting old family. Some you love, some you could do without spending too much time with them and others, you just want as minimum contact as possible.

I am not going to give anything away because it's that good....except to say, I love Nora. I am rooting for you, honey. Dante, you are a big bad wolf. Love those bad boys.

A must read. It's not strenuous or incredibly thought provoking but what a story. Simply guilty pleasure.

Although an engrossing and exciting story, not one of my favourite mysteries in the series. I didn't love it, but perhaps that because it followed "U", which I think was one of the very best in this series. Kinsey has an almost perfunctory role with much of the narrative outside of and not concerning her. Still a great tale, but not one of the Alphabet's best.
