Both intrigued with one another and crushing from a distance for years, they were never in a space to act on any feelings.. however a night out and seeing him at a bar changed their dynamic and a slow burn romance transpired.. when trying to handle all the issues with her mother’s death, Rex became an unexpected shoulder to lean on.. her mother’s death also brought out a family secret that shatters the bond and connection she had with her sister Daija.. I loved how Rex and Truce really connected and she bonded with his daughter.. the family secret is revealed and Rex and Truce later marry and she becomes pregnant with a son.
