This is book 3 in the Love is Love series and can be read as a standalone.
Tate is a kid from the other side of the tracks succeeding at everything he does.
Lance meets Tate their freshman year of college, and they become best friends.
During their friensahip in college, Tate is out and proud and scoring wherever he can. Lance knows he doesn't like it and wants Tate's company all for himself, but he is very confused and doesn't know why.
Things come to a head sophomore year, and after Tate and Lance get hot and heavy one night, Lance ditches Tate, ghosts him, and seemingly never looks back.
Fast forward 15 years, and 36 year old Lance is a married pastor following in his father's footsteps, and 35 year old Tate is a multimillionaire exchange broker. They both come together at a pride festival, and sparks still fly just like in college days. They both have feelings they think are unrequited, and Tate was scarred so badly from Lances betrayal that he has never had a relationship, EVER. Tate walks away because of Lance's circumstances, but Lance has chosen his path and persues Tate. Lance gets his way, and they embark on a torrid affair that simply cannot last.
The inevitable happens, and Lance's life spirals out of control. In a huge plot twist, deeply buried secrets about Lance's family are revealed that show just how small a world it really is. Tate is sucked into the tornado that Lance's father, a small town paster, his wife, and a few carefully chosen parishioners have created and now is wreaking havoc on Tate and Lance's relationship. Anorher plot twist comes at you now. You never know with Nyla. Are their bonds tight enough to not get blown away from eachother in the storm.
This is super spicy 🌶🌶🌶🌶/5 chilis on the spicy scale with a splash 💦warning.
There is an HEA with a fantastic epilogue.
I read this book twice before the audiobook was released and I am so glad I listed as well. Theo Sinclair and Christian Leatherman are perfect as Tate and Lance. It's a dual narration, 2 narrators, 2 POVs, first person and it is great!

Great ending for a great series. Tate is one of my favorite characters, and I love hearing his inner thoughts and motivations and his final HEA
