Hell on earth.

That’s what it’s like for Luce to be apart from her fallen angel boyfriend, Daniel. It took them an eternity to find one another, but now he has told her he must go away. Just long enough to hunt down the Outcasts—immortals who want to kill Luce. Daniel hides Luce at Shoreline, a school on the rocky California coast with unusually gifted students: Nephilim, the offspring of fallen angels and humans.

At Shoreline, Luce learns what the Shadows are, and how she can use them as windows to her previous lives. Yet the more Luce learns, the more she suspects that Daniel hasn’t told her everything. He’s hiding something—something dangerous. What if Daniel’s version of the past isn’t actually true? What if Luce is really meant to be with someone else?

I actually, for the first time ever, did not finish this book. I felt like I was reading a sappy teen soap opera.

It was ok. Luce came off whine y. Daniel came off like he knows better than her but refuses to clue her in on their relationship. Cam isn't as mysterious or charming until they are at her parents. Thanksgiving dinner. That is when it gets mildly interesting. Than she has had enough and disappears. ..thus, another book is in the works.

I'm really hate reading by this point. God, this book is terrible. If anybody here thinks that the relationship portrayed by Daniel and Luce is real love PLEASE REEVALUATE YOUR LIFE!

This was somewhat painful for me to get through...all Luce's angst about who am I? What's my past? Why is Daniel being so mean? The story line was pretty good, but all the introspection made it drag a bit for me.
