Very weird. Unhinged and disgusting. Kind of entertaining.

Had some good concepts, but I feel like they're overshadowed by the fact that this was written by a man, albeit a queer one. Pregnancy as a parasite, relationships as one as well, and the guilty party deciding to leave once her morbid curiosity of 'how far can i take this' becomes 'this is too much for me to take into my conscience'. This felt like the worst fever dream I ever had, but it kept me reading wanting to find out where it was gonna go, so I guess 2 stars for that?

I opted for the audiobook version of this and I must say… I think it’s the way to go. I went into this pretty much ignorant to the story. I only knew it was spooky/horror related with a lot of body horror so I thought I’d give it a shot.
