I always wanted to read the book. Baum actually wrote the story to fund his other productions. Loved how he showed the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and the Lion already had the things they were seeking from OZ. Enjoyed the story that led the to classic movie. Might be worth reading some of the additional OZ stories.

Crazy this was nothing like what I expected- all these years with knowing the movie like the back of my hand- expanding into Wicked by Gregory MacGuire- still it was enjoyable-
