Continuing on, Will gets to plan another clever solution to a seemingly overwhelming obstacle. I cannot overstate how fun it is to see Will as the main ranger and tactician. I love Halt, and we do get to see Halt and Crowley play their roles, but it has been fun for these two books to have Will take center stage along with Alyss.
Flanagan also writes in a way that gets you to love the characters and gets you deeply invested in their development.
