The Wheatons are infamous among the east coast elite for their lack of impulse control, except for their daughter Clara. She’s the consummate socialite: over-achieving, well-mannered, predictable. But every Wheaton has their weakness. When Clara’s childhood crush invites her to move cross-country, the offer is too tempting to resist. Unfortunately, it’s also too good to be true.

After a bait-and-switch, Clara finds herself sharing a lease with a charming stranger. Josh might be a bit too perceptive—not to mention handsome—for comfort, but there’s a good chance he and Clara could have survived sharing a summer sublet if she hadn’t looked him up on the Internet...

Once she learns how Josh has made a name for himself, Clara realizes living with him might make her the Wheaton’s most scandalous story yet. His professional prowess inspires her to take tackling the stigma against female desire into her own hands. They may not agree on much, but Josh and Clara both believe women deserve better sex. What they decide to do about it will change both of their lives, and if they’re lucky, they’ll help everyone else get lucky too.

"OMG" and "more please," is what comes to mind when I think of The Roommate by Rosie Danan. Other thoughts that come to mind are "how is this a debut novel" and "... Dear Berkley Romance Publishing, how do I get ARCs of all of Rosie Danan's future books?" *hint hint*

But seriously. I went into this book not knowing anything, which is how I suggest others go into reading it as well. I was fully expecting a cute and possibly quirky Rom Com, which it is, but with a major unexpected twist of sexiness. I feel like the plotline centering around two strangers who become roommates is pretty common. However, I have never read that particular plot with the overtly high sexual overtones, and let me tell you, I am HERE for it.

If you are reading this review before reading the book, to see if it's for you, then I suggest adding this book to your cart ASAP. If you like fun and sexy reads, this book is a must.

Cute, smutty but was not invested in the charecters and the story got very boring after awhile.

A FAVORITE for sure!
This book is perfection. I don't know how to formulate an appropriate review. But the premise is such a unique take on forced proximity trope.
A goody two shoe Harvard grad and a Porn Star have to be roomies?
The sex-positive atmosphere and communication is superb.
The steam is the most deliciously descriptive of writing.
The whole part where they fall for each other... SWOON!
Love this book, Rosie Danan is a staple author for sure.

I wish Shameless was real. 10/10 for plot and smut and I really enjoy the character development.
