I’ve always loved Wally Lamb. The dialogue in this book was sometimes unrealistic, but overall, a sad character study. I liked the very end, hearing the wife’s perspective. I wish there was more of that throughout the book.
Captivating story about loss and substance abuse. Started out strong and engaging. The ending was not what I expected but surpassed my expectations. This is now one of my favorite reads so far this year
