The rating was largely based on members finding the book discouraging and not particularly helpful, while others felt the author achieved the intended purpose of the book and described it in very positive terms. As the discussion progressed, we concluded that the book was difficult to connect with — not because it was poorly written, but because it highlighted the reality that many of us “do not have money,” making it challenging for some members to relate to the content. The discussion questions also encouraged self-introspection regarding our financial realities. Some members anticipated more personal financial experiences from the author, while others felt that the introduction provided enough direction and context for the rest of the book.

It's a good book for understanding how one relates with money. I was able to understand my view of money and how i perceive being rich. I was also able to know areas that affect my current financial journey and why I even have such beliefs and how to overcome them. However, it can be somehow overwhelming since it has so many illustrations that are mathematical and if you are not a fan of numbers like me haha...you will be easily bored. What stood out for me was how Housel talked about heads and tails and how luck and time play a big part in wealth creation. One successful head is a result of so many failed tails. Patience and consistency is KING in wealth creation, and compound interest is the magic.

Very enlightening. Some of these things I’ve heard before. Some were new to me. I appreciated the common sense approach rather than “10 steps to blah blah blah “. I’d read another of his books.

This is a great behavior book. Worth reading over and over again. You will discover mannerisms about yourself you didn't realize you had. An easy read.
