The Poppy War: A Novel

This book started out great! I loved part one. Then part two, kind of brought me down a bit, lots of war and struggle and less about relationships etc...but, I get it. It's a war book, but it seemed liked it had a lot more descriptions of issues/war/scenes/insubordination etc. than were really necessary to get the point across.
Then came part three, UGH...I swear it took me WEEKS to get through it..turns out, it was really less than a single day, but geez it dragged on and on. :/
UGH!!! I switched to the audiobook halfway through, just to keep track of all the different names, which helped a bit, but that very last chapter felt like hours to get through, even on double speed of the audiobook. I still enjoyed the book, but if 1/3 of the length had been cut I think it would have been a 5 star read.
