also this is masterful writing, and a masterpiece of a story. i just...
Lemme just copy paste my updates while reading this, so u get what i mean:
p. 160 : wow. that chapter. those scenes. THE TENSION of longing between two women of power omg is there anything better i think not
p. 246 : My heart is shattered rn. I'm glad i paused my reading for a bit there cause i knew heartbreaking horror like that was coming and omg i wouldnt have been able to handle it
p. 330 : my heart is shattered, yet melting, yet filled with worry AND hope and trust??? That's just plain magic at this point. Tasha Suri you're writing the lesbian political fantasy trilogy of my DREAMS
p. 402 : oh my. oh my. i'm scared. what will the 3rd book be??? when will we have it??
Also jade i hope you're okay lmaooo as we're buddy reading this book where the author thanks her readers in the acknowledgements AND says she hopes we're not too traumatized :')
