Really good story in a fantasy setting I usually don't read which is refreshing in itself. It did take about 40% of the book until I finally understood the names and settings especially since the story does have a lot of set up before it starts rolling downhill. Bu once it does it's a blast. Love almost all the characters and they all felt alive with beliefs and differences in how to tackle certain matters that make them fully fleshed out people. My favorite being Bhumika and the path to power she took in this novel compared to other choices. I wish to have gotten a little more depth to the main relationship rather that this feeling of sparks as soon as they meet. Finally, it has one of my favorite things in fantasy which is changing POV to a random character we never meet again to show us a different part of other people's perspective when seeing the results of our regular POVS decisions.
