The amount I hear about this book to the moment I read it, I thought it would be life changing and eye opening. I think it's very telling that the review from the males rave it and the females do not. I thought perhaps it was outdated but it was only released recently... This is a book more about the author's collective strong opinion based on their assumptions than an actual factual study or collaboration with professionals in their fields. A hands off parent quick to judge, shame, and give no actual valid healing to their simple methods of change. Mental health is not simply recognizing trauma nor blaming trauma. Parenting is hard and no technology is not possible for most. Ayahuasca should be left in the hands of shaman who have experience and build trust in their users, the author is outrageous for thinking they have a right to disturb peoples journeys. There was so much I thought was invasive, judgemental, forceful, and even at times agressive about this author and their advice. I would not suggest this book to anyone but maybe a male who is closed minded and would only try something if they heard it from a certain voice. I think the author is the toxic culture which is a shame because I was drawn to this from some quotes and articles I did appreciate from them.
