Such a smart and delightful read! Although not my first time enjoying what fans say is one of Dame Agatha's most witty plots with its clever and inventive narrative style - it is however, Poirot's ingenious ability to outmanoeuvre the murderer with his tried and tested methodology while cunningly remaining his confidant that pulls me in every time! A definite must-read for all fans of the mystery genre - :)
Keeps you guessing all the way through. Great intro to Agatha Christie and mystery for any reader.
Agatha Christie did something brilliant here: she took the rules of the mystery genre and turned them upside down with such elegance that even today, nearly a hundred years later, readers are left speechless.
The writing is essential, every character is a suspect, and Poirot is in top form. But it's the ending – that ending – that makes this book immortal. The only thing I can tell you is: trust no one. Not even yourself.
If you love mysteries and haven't read it yet, run to get it. And if anyone tries to spoil the culprit for you, find a new friend.

Incredibly detailed and well done for this genre. Will not disappoint!
Maybe Ive read too many AC books; I knew the murderer half way through the book.
