This is a great series so far. Even though I'm speed-reading it because book 4 will only be free on Audible Plus for two more days, I've also been listening with my husband, and he seriously slows me down. I have a tendency to speed up the narration during the sex scenes; I need a very good plot to enjoy a book that's full of sex. Not that I'm a prude or have a problem with it—maybe I'm just jealous. I could totally use a harem of my own. It is helping me get through the books before 10/25, though.
Anyway, I find the plot and the characters to be good enough to make the story great, with or without all the smut. It's not just smut for smut's sake, and I really appreciate that. I don’t think I've ever read anything from Ivy Asher, but I plan to check her out again soon. I used Audible for this one, and the narrator was fantastic. I'm about 85% through this book (book 3), and I can't wait to see what happens. Asher always leaves you eager to take on the next book right away. I recommend getting all four at once, or at least be prepared to buy them. You will definitely want the next one ASAP.
