The Last Man on Earth: A Survival Romance

Famous rapper Villain and his rowdy entourage are headed to his bachelor party in Brazil when his private jet crashes on a remote island. The only survivors are him and Ariana, the beautiful, older, no-nonsense in-flight concierge who can't stand him.

Stranded with no rescue in sight, they have no choice but to work together if they want to survive. What begins as a fragile truce soon ignites into passion and forges a path to trust, understanding, and a love neither of them expected to find.

But when rescue finally comes, reality hits hard--the headlines, the scrutiny, their grief, and the fiancee and boyfriend they left behind.

Ultimately, they realize they have to decide: Will they return to the lives they once knew, or fight for the new life they built together on that island?

Great read.. Villain was a rapper headed to a bachelor’s weekend.. on the flight, he met Ariana who was part of the crew.. he was very attracted to her but obnoxious and rude.. she couldn’t stand his crudeness and arrogance or his guests antics either.. then suddenly the turbulence came and the plane crashed on an island.. Ms. K initially survived with Vincent and Ari, however later died, leaving only them 2 on the island stranded to figure it out.. they bonded as they attempted survival and that flourished into a friendship and love, and surprisingly also a pregnancy.. then finally, came the day 9months later that they were rescued and reality set in, as he was coming home to a son and fiancée.. he has to figure out his past, now mixed with his present.. and drama unfolds, but he does the right thing.. you see a lot of growth in Vincent over the course of the book, as well as Ari.. I enjoyed and felt all the emotions, laughed and cried.. like I was on the island with them 😩🥰

The Last Man on Earth by @shaesandersbooks ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️: 4/5 What a read! This is my first standalone after reading an 11 book series and it was exactly what I needed! This isn’t a tale of love, roses, and romance; this is a gut-wrenching tale of finding love in loss and laying down your ego for a love that removes your emptiness. Vincent, or Villian is a 27 year old rap phenomenon. Arrogant, immature, and on Ariana’s nerves as they board the private jet to take Villian and his entourage to Brazil for his bachelor party. Ariana, or Ari, is a 36 year old flight attendant who intends for this to be her last flight before going back to school. She’s a certified member of the black girl crew that go and get new degrees when they’re bored (HEY GIRL!😂). What begins as a smooth fun flight quickly turns tragic when the plane crashes on an unknown island. Suffocated by grief and uncertainty, Villian and Ari must learn to navigate their new normal— whatever that may be. What they come to find out is that love exists even where certainty, understanding, and peace do not; and even more so that love can create all those things even when they’re not actually present. Ari, a woman of control and structure, must learn to relinquish her need for control to survive. Their newfound circumstances require her to loosen her leash on control, not out of weakness, but out of necessity. Her survival depends on it. Villian is an immature, lost soul with no emotional regulation who thrives on annoying other people. He starts out as a complete asshole, I can’t lie but Villian’s character development was astronomical. It was such a key part of the book, and my favorite. Sanders stripped these two characters down to their CORE in the most romantic way possible. Their love on the island and off, comparatively for the reader did not disappoint. I will say that I felt that some parts before the rescue were dragged out while the rescue and reintroduction to civilization felt a little rushed. I wouldn’t mind seeing more of Ari and Vincent. This felt like discovering reading for the first time again. This is storytelling. This is literature. Highly recommended.
