The Last Devil To Die

I'm still happily making my way through this series, and while this one wasn't my favorite of the four so far, it was still a wonderful read. Osman continues to balance humor with genuine emotion.

This installment was definitely the saddest of the series so far for me at least. It deals with grief with an incredible amount of compassion, while still managing to be funny and hopeful. The mystery itself wasn't my favorite in the series, but I honestly didn't mind. Another solid entry in a series that has won me over. I never expected to enjoy these books as much as I have, but here I am, already 1/2 way trough the next one.

I listened to the audiobook. The story was great (easy 4 stars) but the narrator used a whisper voice for much of the time (especially for Joyce’s journaling). I listen while I drive and got really frustrated trying to make out what she was saying.

absolutely wonderful book I've read all of them now they are spectacular I think everybody in the world should read them

Haven't yet been disappointed with this series. I finished it on a long drive with my friend and we were both crying during parts of it. These books are so good at capturing the human experience, both the highs and lows, the big moments and the small. I actually figured out the mystery before it was revealed, and usually I don't with these, but the mystery is always secondary for me. I'm here to spend time with the club.

I absolutely love this book! I love each and every character, their specific and unique individual qualities that make the book so enjoyable to pass the time with. I love their lively and silly banter. Everything about this book just makes me happy.
