The Kiss Curse: A Novel: The Next Witchy Paranormal Romance from the author of The Ex Hex (The Graves Glen Series, 2)

The follow-up to Erin Sterling's New York Times bestselling hit The Ex Hex features fan favorite Gwyn and the spine-tinglingly handsome Wells Penhallow as they battle a new band of witches and their own magical chemistry.

Gwyn Jones is perfectly happy with her life in Graves Glen. She, her mom, and her cousin have formed a new and powerful coven; she's running a successful witchcraft shop, Something Wicked; and she's started mentoring some of the younger witches in town. As Halloween approaches, there's only one problem--Llewellyn "Wells" Penhallow.

Wells has come to Graves Glen to re-establish his family's connection to the town they founded as well as to make a new life for himself after years of being the dutiful son in Wales. When he opens up a shop of his own, Penhallow's, just across the street from Something Wicked, he quickly learns he's gotten more than he bargained for in going up against Gwyn.

When their professional competition leads to a very personal--and very hot--kiss, both Wells and Gwyn are determined to stay away from each other, convinced the kiss was just a magical fluke. But when a mysterious new coven of witches come to town and Gwyn's powers begin fading, she and Wells must work together to figure out just what these new witches want and how to restore Gwyn's magic before it's too late.

Just as much fun as The Ex Hex! It was great to see how the town and characters have adjusted since the last book, and to meet some new characters. I do think there was a little bit less of spooky magic stuff happening live on the page, but that space was filled with a bit more character/relationship development. I'm really eager for the next book now, this series has been a great time so far.

I couldn’t wait to read a witchy romance for the season and I really liked The Ex Hex when I read it last year so figured I’d pick up this sequel! although it wasn’t horrible, this was definitely not one of my favorites. I wanted so badly to love it but frankly it was just rushed. I think the idea of this book was spot on but the execusion was not well done in my opinion. I was hoping to get “more” from both Wells and Gwen but everything just felt underdeveloped. Their relationship went from zero to a hundred without any build up or romantic tension to make me want them together. I felt like the mystery was the same way and the investigation into the problem was never shown. Everything was just underwhelming. although I liked the idea, I wanted to feel so much more passionately about this one than I did.

I liked it, was somewhat slow for me, but picked up 2/3 of the way in. You can read The Ex Hex without The Kiss Curse and vice versa.

Well I wasn’t expecting to finish this in less than 24 hours. I wasn’t expecting to like this more than the first book. But I did. I loved it!
