My Jasad Heir Moments:
1. Frogs...cool.
5. What the hell did the fig tree do to you?!
3. Ooooh, this is an excellent and cozy slow burn. Let me curl up beside these cinders. Happy Holidaaaaayayas...
3.5 ...wait did you forget the eradication of the Jasadis and the Nizahl kingdom's role in that?... ...but the slow burn is good...but Ash... ....um....
4. Yeah, betraying your people would cause an existential crisis.
5. These trials are shorter and less exciting than I hoped. Haven't we built up to this point? Why the rush?!
6. About time! ...but Ash - leave me alone!
7. He is taking this well ...
8. Okay, this ending was jarring. I need a bit of the character reflection that I was so used to throughout this book. Maybe that will be in the sequel?
9. I love Sashem's writing style. How long do I have to wait until the sequel?! See, this is the con of reading debuts so close to their release!
Overall, this was a great read. I was aching to return to this book every time I put it down, and I attribute that to the writing style and the MC's personality. For a debut novel, this was written better than one or two Romantasies that I have read this year from authors who have works completed prior (you know who you are).
