I love the concept but after a while got bored of all the new descriptions, when I knew it would change again soon!
I enjoyed this book bc it was fiction, so I wasn't reading into the scenarios as much as the others. There were times I was really scared for her that the men would not go back in the attic. People need to learn to be entertained and not disect everything to be plausible or make sense. Again its FICTION.
Extremely entertaining and suspenseful!! I loved Lauren who is the main character that is sharp and funny. This book flips the script on the idea of meeting “the one.” There is no resolution on the attic’s magic which might be frustrating for some readers.
Would you send your husband back to swap him for another? Holly Gramazioâs heroine Lauren doesnât have a husband, but when she returns home from a âhen partyâ a man named Michael is in her house and claims he's her spouse. The photos on her phone donât lie, showing her they have been together for years. She quickly learns when she sends a husband up into her magic attic, a brand new one comes down in his place and she is faced with unlimited choices. Bad breath? Back to the attic. Unfortunate mustache? Up he goes. Anger problems? Off to the belfry⦠this romp is hilarious and touching, a reminder that the grass isnât always greener and that love, even at its best, is apt to be imperfect. Fun, funny, original summer read.
Every time I read a British book, my knee-jerk reaction is to describe it as "delightful." But you know what, this WAS delightful. Funny, thoughtful, and kept me on my toes. Five stars because I enjoyed it (and I don't have a magical attic to swap this out for a potentially better book).
