The Hollow Girl

This book reminded me of Spit on Your Grave in the best ways. A girl who has been violated in a way in a small close knit community that values purity over all else has been violated in a horrible, violent way. Thankfully for the girl, her Gran is the caravan's healer and witch and she shares her magic with the girl to make all the boys pay for their misdeeds. I loved that all the boys involved in stealing away this girl's virginity, sense of safety, and vulnerability had pieces of their own body removed as well-violently. This is obviously not a happy sunshiney tale about a "gypsy girl" but a dark gritty tale of a girl wronged and her family's revenge.
