This book is an essential for those looking to end their own suffering and better understand the teachings of the Dharma from the Buddha. Thich Nhat Hanh has an understanding of the Dharma that is on a level above many's comprehension of what the Buddha thought. Better still is his ability to teach it in a way that all can understand. Nothing compares to realing the Pali Cannon itself, but this is a great way to begin that journey.
