ARC Review-
The Hart Algorithm centers around Dr. Fia Hart, creator of the HART algorithm and HART app, an app that finds people find true love matches using her scientific algorithm. When Dr. Hart is set to teach a seminar at a college she is met by fellow scientist, tenured professor, and HART algorithm skeptic, Cade Aspen. There’s sizzling attraction from the first glance, but also competitive tension between the two that leads to a bet that Cade can make Fia fall in love with him in sixty days sans algorithm. First off, I love their competitive flirting, the back and forth banter adds an extra layer to their already tantalizing chemistry. Speaking of chemistry, theirs is undeniable from the start where it begins as a passionate slow-burn that turns very hot and heavy but also endearing. Both MCs have similarities but also a lot of differences giving them a bit of opposites attract feel. Cade is a handsome golden retriever MMC with wit and charm, whereas Fia is a bit closed off with a wall built around her heart, but she does have the beauty and the brains. This was my first ever STEM romance and I’m so happy because wow, what an introduction into the subgenre. This story was smart, funny, but also heartfelt and obviously very sexy. It kind of gave me How to Lose a guy in 10 days vibes in a way but with the addition of spice and intelligence/academia. I would recommend for anyone who fancies a smart romance with a good bit of tension, steam, and spice!
