DNF
The author relies too heavily on the readers knowledge of pop culture references rather than genuinely describing her characters . The male lead broke up with his ex fiancé far too recently in my opinion to be entering another relationship, especially since he still can’t talk about her without getting upset. It felt like a realistic small town story but I’m not from a small town so what do I know?
FYI it’s got Christian references (not just the Adam and Eve thing) that I wasn’t expecting to be as prevalent as they were. Lots on forgiveness. Wasn’t an issue at all for me but just a heads up.
