It was a quick read but honestly not very enjoyable. Took forever to set up the characters and they were still pretty unbelievable. Glad I read it since so many others read it but all in all there are much better out there.
2.5 âï¸I was confused most of the time in a good and bad way. I donât think I grasped the timeline of when things were happening in each point of view. In the beginning I had a hard time getting into it but the last 100 pages were good. I kinda guessed towards the end which made the ending a little anticlimactic but she had me stumped for a while.
I could not put this book down. I started out with the audio edition and then switched to the kindle edition. Such a fast paced, couldn't wait to find out what the heck is going on but don't want it to end book. Everyone in this book is messed up! I imagine it would be a very hard read if you have a drinking problem. Paula Hawkins does such an amazing job of describing Rachel's sensations when she is drinking. Also Rachel's want and need for a drink.
I found this one strangeâ¦I have to admit, had I not been recommended it and known there was a movie made from it, I might not have finished it. Quite a journey to get where itâs going but still a unique story line!
