The main characters were Daisy, Amber, Jake, and Brenda. Setting in Colorado and Texas. The writing style is conversational narrative. It’s a novela that was such an easy read. It was a fun ride like an old school lifetime movie. I’d describe it as murder with little mystery it was more so a look inside the mind of a sociopathic gold digger that is out foxed. It’s a blue print for social climbing without morals. I loved the ending where she is out smarted, I really didn’t see that coming.
I was fully invested from beginning to end there were no boring places or spaces.
This is a prequel to “The Last Mrs. Parrish” to see how Amber developed from being a small town girl running away from her past to becoming the pro manipulator she is. Amber pulls out every trick in the book to get ahead not carrying what it does to others in her path. With her new identity, takes her first shot.
This is a great build up to “The Last Mrs. Parrish.” All that for basically NOTHING Amber. Can’t wait to see the destruction you’re ready to lay in your path to be the last Mrs. Parrish.
