It was overall a fun read and a great introduction to a very vast topic. The most impressive part, for me, was the author made math sound interesting. Definitely didn't expect that.
If I could change something, I would get a physical copy because I think it's the kind of book where you really need to see the accompanying images. I was having a hard time picturing every machine, movement, or weaving technique described with just the audiobook.
As a downside, you can easily tell the author sees technological and economic progress as the be-all, end-all of civilization, and those pesky environmentalists just don't see how good synthetic fibres can be. The last chapter definitely wasn't my favourite.
