Am I going to read the next one? Wasn't planning on it, but now I have to because this one ended on a cliffhanger.

I enjoyed the world and the different magic and powers possessed by the different clans. I also really enjoyed the pirate/viking vibe. There were some times where I felt like I was maybe missing some key info relating to the world and the fae clans, but am wondering if I had read the related series if that would have helped round out the world building

King Erik and Princess Livia, what a pair. The language in the book can be clumsy at times but it is beautiful written. It gives a pld pirates feel. The magic system is different. The growth of the characters is notable.
