The Do-Over definitely matches the 'Ferris Bueller' meets 'Groundhog Day' description! This one is cute and fun and perfect to read around Valentine's Day. I enjoyed all the musical references, the family dynamics, and the interactions between Emilie and Nick. I never grew bored, despite the groundhog day trope. Solidly YA, but written well!

The Do-Over by Lynn Painter is a funny and touching young adult romance. It follows Emilie as she keeps going through a terrible Valentine's Day. She is stuck in a time loop and ends up spending more and more time with Nick, a boy she never thought she would like. The book shows how love and life can surprise you with its humor, charm, and sweet romance.
Such a great romcom book about reliving Valentineâs Day! Had me CHUCKLING. I loved the explanation for why sheâd kept repeating the day.
Things I loved:
1. The confessions at the top of the chapters
2. The playlist at the end of the book
3. The DONC day â do everything youâre afraid of or ever wanted to do
