The Deal: Now an Original Series on Amazon Prime (Off-Campus, 1)

New York Times bestseller and TikTok sensation Elle Kennedy brings you the first in the sexy Off-Campus series that everyone is talking about.

Soon to be a streaming show!

She's about to make a deal with the college bad boy...

Hannah Wells has finally found someone who turns her on. But while she might be confident in every other area of her life, she's carting around a full set of baggage when it comes to sex and seduction. If she wants to get her crush's attention, she'll have to step out of her comfort zone and make him take notice...even if it means tutoring the annoying, childish, cocky captain of the hockey team in exchange for a pretend date.

...and it's going to be oh so good

All Garrett Graham has ever wanted is to play professional hockey after graduation, but his plummeting GPA is threatening everything he's worked so hard for. If helping a sarcastic brunette make another guy jealous will help him secure his position on the team, he's all for it. But when one unexpected kiss leads to the wildest sex of both their lives, it doesn't take long for Garrett to realize that pretend isn't going to cut it. Now he just has to convince Hannah that the man she wants looks a lot like him.

Loved this. It was super cute, the characters felt well-rounded and like real college kids who are figuring stuff out. The banter was on point, the hockey was on point, and the full cast is interesting enough for me to want to carry on reading the rest of the series. I particularly liked that both characters didn't have charmed lives, and that the major crisis point didn't involved other-person drama, but I wasn't a massive fan of how the crisis came about. That said, I'd love to carry on reading more in this universe and I sure wouldn't turn down Garrett if he wanted to be my boyfriend :D

I fear Garrett Graham has officially joined the ranks of fictional men who have set my expectations for real life impossibly high. I giggled like a schoolgirl, kicked my feet, blushed through entire chapters, and finished this book wondering why all men aren't conducting internet research to make women orgasm. Elle Kennedy is about to become a serious problem for my bank account if the Off-Campus series keeps producing men like Garrett. Hannah Wells agrees to tutor Briar University's hockey captain in philosophy after Garrett offers to fake date her in return so she can catch another guy's attention. It sounds like your typical fake dating setup. Their arrangement turns into something so much sweeter somewhere between the sarcastic banter, study sessions, and ridiculous flirting. Both characters carry painful baggage from their pasts giving the romance surprising depth without losing its playful energy. Garrett is the definition of touch her and die energy wrapped up in a cocky hockey captain. He somehow manages to be patient, emotionally intelligent, and wildly obsessed with making Hannah happy. I ate up every moment between them. The flirting deserves awards, the chemistry could melt ice rinks, and the banter had me grinning at my Kindle like I had lost my mind. The intimacy in this book deserves its own standing ovation. That mutual masturbation scene? Perfection. Five stars. No notes. I loved that Garrett approached Hannah's trauma with patience and kindness instead of trying to rush her healing. The fact that this man went home and researched how to help her feel comfortable enough to orgasm might be one of the hottest things I have ever read. I watched Amazon's adaptation first. The book is so much better. Garrett's relationship with his father feels more realistic, Hannah's assault recovery is handled with greater care, and the breakup and reconciliation actually make sense. The added internal monologues made me understand both characters on a much deeper level. I appreciated every extra page I got to spend with them. Pick up The Deal if you love fake dating, college hockey romances, dirty talk that will fog your windows, protective book boyfriends, and romances that somehow manage to be laugh-out-loud funny while also handling trauma with care. I already miss Garrett and Wellsy. I cannot wait to dive into the rest of this series.

I started reading this book series because of the Off Campus tv series that’s out. I actually read all of the spinoff Briar U books, but never read the originals. This one was so good! I was obsessed! I loved Garrett and Hannah’s banter. Reminds me of how me and my husband are. I related to the way they speak and act with each other and just loved this book! The ending seemed to wrap up very quickly in a way, especially with how his whole money situation was just fine because of his trust fund. Overall, I really liked this book and I can’t wait to read the next one!
