A very interesting read. 10/10! I recommend!
This is a HIGHLY RECOMMENDED book for anyone who works in a multicultural environment. After reading it I could understand my coworkers on a much more empathic level since the teachings of this book brought to me a multi-dimensional perspective of understanding of how people tick on different cultures. This book is a must-read, it is amazing. I learned a lot PLUS it is a very easy read.
Very helpful specific recommendations and examples regarding how to communicate with individuals from different cultural backgrounds.
My current team is made up of Brazilians, Austrians, Germans and Brits so this book was extremely helpful to understand some of the underlying cultural differences I might experience.
Still, I strongly recommend using the final suggestion in the Epilogue to treat everyone as individuals. I wouldn't dare managing all Brazilians according to a scale, but it's always my goal to get to know more about every individual. I believe if we build strong relationships with our folks the rest will be much easier and the inevitable cultural misunderstanding will be easier to resolve.
Overall a brilliant read. I'm happy someone at work recommended this to me and other colleagues! :)
