This now, two times over, movie book is still a good read. Celie’s thoughts and words come alive in the pages of the book as we follow her from a sexually abused child, to a physically abused wife and many trials most people would not be able to withstand, to a happy home and successful business owner—a survivor!
Loved the book and movie. Haven't seen the new movie. Love how Ciley comes into her own and how she is befriended by her husband's mistress!
