The Christmas Secret, a holiday themed novella centers around billionaire Jacoby “Jack” Winslow and the woman he’s secretly in love with, Kelsey. The first problem with this secret desire is that Kelsey is the ex-girlfriend of his half-brother Julian Price, and that Julian is also the biological father of Kelsey’s son Jace who he decided to walk away from. The second problem is that Kelsey has an unrivaled hatred for the rich, which in turn makes Jack feel the need to hide his financial standing from Kelsey. When Jack realizes he might finally be outed for being the billionaire that he is he devises a plan to tell Kelsey himself first. Will Jack finally get the girl of his dreams or will she run like she’s always does? This was a sweet and spicy novella that makes sure to hit all the important information within its compact form. From the very beginning I was cheering on Jack to go get his girl so that he could get his HEA. Even though he wasn’t entirely upfront with Kelsey about who he was from the beginning it shined through his personality and on page persona that deep down he thought he was doing right by her and protecting her. Overall, remember that novella’s do tend to have romantic relationships that move quickly due to page constraints so if you like a quick and dirty romance I think you’ll enjoy this one for sure, would recommend.
