The Chestnut Man: A Mystery Novel

A psychopath is terrorizing Copenhagen.
His calling card is a “chestnut man”—a handmade doll made of matchsticks and two chestnuts—which he leaves at each bloody crime scene.
Examining the dolls, forensics makes a shocking discovery—a fingerprint belonging to a young girl, a government minister’s daughter who had been kidnapped and murdered a year ago.
A tragic coincidence—or something more twisted?
To save innocent lives, a pair of detectives must put aside their differences to piece together the Chestnut Man’s gruesome clues.
Because it’s clear that the madman is on a mission that is far from over.
And no one is safe.

One of the best books I have read this year! Take the day off because you’ll need to buckle up for this one!
This book was fantastic. It was full of so many twists, turns, and red herrings. It kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Very engaging from start to finish.
Man this book… I did the audio version and I think that made the book even more intense! Kudos to Peter!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, I genuinely could not decipher who the killer was and the plot twist was absolutely insane albeit truly sad once you learn that some parts were based on true events. I felt for all the characters and although towards the beginning when you’re learning the characters it does become a bit boring I highly recommend sticking to the end. So so good.
This story was both disturbing and thrilling; however, Im rating it so low as it was hard to stay engaged at times. With that being said, if you enjoy thrilling books, this is no exception to that characteristic. When I googled it, I did see that parts of the story were based on true events so that was super interesting!
Didn't see that one coming!
