I truly enjoyed this quirky, relatable, and perfectly written novel. I could not help but see aspects of myself in Nina, a book loving introvert who figures out being extroverted on occasion has its benefits. I loved each character, even Lydia (in the end), and how they each helped bring out Nina's full potential. The story was lovely ~ an ode to friendship, family ties (better late than never), and readers.

Cute and entertaining. Nina's preference for escaping into literary worlds over real-life interactions certainly hit home for my bookish self. Nothing profound was learned from this book, but it's a great poolside or beach chair read.

My main complaint would be that I wish Nina had been more, well, bookish. There were so few literary references here. ...read more
