Another great King short story. I had seen "stand by me" years ago and the book and the movie were very close to each other. I considered myself fortuante for seeing the movie first because I could visualize the characters. I related to a lot of what was going through Gordie's mind because at 12 years old I felt the same way in many ways. King simply has that gift of bringing his people off the pages.
