He's rash, reckless, and on the rebound - but his laugh is contagious, his touch warm and wicked. And for one perfect, forbidden night, he's all Kitty's darkest dreams come true...

But by morning, there's only shame. Regret. And the orc quickly makes his escape, abandoning Kitty to a devastating discovery...

She's been compromised. With his... orcling.

But the orc never returns, and Kitty is left ill, impoverished, and hopeless. Until finally, another orc finds her. Varinn, of Clan Grisk.

The first orc's best friend. And... his very recent ex.

Varinn can't hide his jealousy, or his bitter, broken rage - but he refuses to leave Kitty behind. And soon she's under his stern supervision, and on her way to Orc Mountain. Back to the orc who so cruelly spurned her. The orc who's been losing his own battles, and still longs for Varinn's firm handling... and his heart.

And can Kitty bring two hostile, heartbroken orcs back together, for her orcling's sake? Or will they break her own heart, too?

4,5 stars 💜❤️ I loved: To see Dammarr's story unfold and to have see another LGBTIQA+ topic explored. Love that inclusivity!🌈 To see Thrain's struggles with addiction handled so realistically, yet with enough sensitivity and respect.✨️ That Kitty was a sex worker, and how it shone a light on how open-minded and accepting people in that profession can be. As well as the struggles many folks face later in life with having little reference to make a career change. Hats off!🎩 I loved the uncovering of Varinn's and Thrain's past trauma and would have loved to see more of this explored.💔 🌸🌷That leads me to the things I think could've been better: As much as I love the spicy scenes, I feel like (again, repetitive topic in this series) it was used as a way to deflect from the issues at hand. Instead of talking about their thoughts and feelings they just jumped on one another. I would have loved to see more in-depth conversations about said trauma or insecurities. 🌿 This also goes for Thrain's gift. He was a gift?! And other than a few lines here and there, even about the cool effect it can have when used together with Natfarr. Nothing is said? I would've gladly traded several "getting ready", "going to pray", or even bang scenes for some more about Thrain's gift. Come on, Finley, you can't dangle that little nugget of gold in front of our faces like that?! 😱 All in all, it was an excellent story, a little long 🤷🏼, and I felt a little sad for Varinn, never getting any Gold from either of them even though she works in a shop (at the source) and Thrain's a fecking goldsmith?! The feels were good. Also... "Ask me about the best fuck of my life!" must be my favourite line in this whole series!🤣
