The Anthologist: A Novel

I don't typically give up on books, but I couldn't make it past the second chapter of this. The whole thing is a running internal narrative from the main character and, frankly, he's just not that pleasant to spend time with. Another self-obsessed dufus who's convinced that his every thought is Really Truly Worthwhile, without much reason to think so.

I gave it a second star because the actual thoughts about poetry are not uninteresting. Shame you have to swim through the muck they're floating in, in order to get them.
