That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Human (Mead Mishaps, 3)

When a spirited young woman with a penchant for adventure finds herself locked away in a dragon's tower, she realizes that fate has a peculiar sense of humor when it comes to her romantic prospects, in this laugh-out-loud fantasy rom-com.

All children are told fairytales. Some are epic adventures with high stakes and exciting twists, while others are tales of pitiful princesses trapped in boring towers pining for their Prince Charmings to come and rescue them. Growing up, Cherry always hated those stories. Why didn't the princesses just get up and rescue themselves? Little did she know that her own fate would take an ironically similar turn. Because now, here she is. Stuck. In a tower. Turns out, when a dragon holds you hostage, he doesn't just let you get up and leave.

Who knew?

And just when Cherry thinks she sees hope on the horizon, that hope is smashed to bits by--you guessed it--another damn dragon.

oh

Yes! 5 stars cause the end got me. I was boohoo crying cuddled up my sheets reading the last pages ok. I do wish this one had a bit more exciting growing experience between the MCs but I do like the different POV. And THIS THIRD BOOK WAS NOT THE PLOT TWIST I WAS EXPECTING. Just marvelous. I just a didn’t think about that possibility. This has officially made it to my top 3 series.

Loved it. Wanna move to Boohail and eat cheesy potatoes and cinnamon rolls. Can’t wait for extraterrestrials in February.

That Time I got Drunk and Saved A Human is book 3 of the Mead Mishap series follows the story of Dante and Cherry after he stumbles upon her while visiting an old friend on a secluded island. The connection the two share will prove to be much deeper than fated mates as they travel across the lands in search of a unicorn. Dante is willing to do anything to please his mate and Cherry is willing to do and say anything if it will get her one step closer to her home. However, neither of them are prepared for what trouble heads there way in the form of an enchanted sword and a stowaway cat. I loved this book. I feel it is the most slow-burnish of all the previous books in the series so far. But readers really get to see Dante's character change in the presence of his mate which is something I really enjoyed. Cherry's character is very bold, conning and stubborn but she definitely does not scare easy. I think this has something to do with the fact that she was trapped in a castle for over five years, but that's just my opinion. We do get to see several appearances of familiar Boohill faces along with some new ones in this book and the laughs don't stop until the very last page. I will say that if you plan to eat something around the last third of this book, you may want to wait.
