This was my favorite and not just because Iris was a young woman, but because her and Declan both had issues and both worked to overcome them to stay together.

I definitely didn’t expect this book to start off with a marriage but it definitely made for an interesting storyline! I've always kinda liked the faking dating trope. I’m not sure why because it is super unrealistic and you know they’re always going to real fall in love but I think that’s the part I like about it. Sometimes predictability is refreshing and just entertaining to read. I liked this one, gave a lot of the same vibe as the first book in the series but I did enjoy it. Declan is reserved and has this secret soft side for Iris which is always so cute in my opinion. I wish there was a little more spice but what we get is still very good. A random side opinion of this one is the fact we get more glimpses at Cal and im very intrigued by him so super excited to read the last book and finally get his story.

I’m been going through a major book slump but I think Lauren has cured that!!! I LOVED this book so much. I have to state first that I am looking for a Declan Kane so if you can, please send him my way.

Iris and Declan’s story was so much more than what I expected and honestly, it exceeded. Iris is my favorite heroine Lauren has ever written. She is strong, independent while still being caring and kind, and I loved that she always stood her ground, especially with Declan. Her friendship with Cal was so endearing and I loved reading their interactions!!

Declan is definitely on my book boyfriend list now. I loved his stoic attitude and the banter he has with Iris, it’s literally top tier. The little moments between them were some of my favorites, I absolutely loved them and while this book was quite long, I still wanted more of them by the end!!!
This has definitely been my favorite read of March so far and I can’t wait for Cal’s book!!

Declan and Iris were introduced in the first book and I was excited to read their story. I still like Zahra and Rowan more when it comes to their personalities, but I think this is just a personal preference. Declan was such a cinnamon roll and it was sweet to see him slowly open up to Iris. She obviously knew him very well after working for him for a while but it was nice to see their relationship change. I also liked that it didn't jump straight in to the sexy times after they got married. The relationship naturally developed on that front. None of it felt forced or fake. I can't wait for book 3!
