Ive read this before. I still like most of the characters but I still bristle at the use and description(s) of defective when referencing Deana's leg that was broken and not reset properly. I have a disability and as it is related to my legs--this is an extremely triggering and painful thing to re-experience while reading this book. Author should have had sensitivity readers for this.
Did anyone say four-armed, lethally spiked bad guy?
I loved reading about the space pirates and one of the human characters who has thus far not gotten a lot of attention or any positivity. This plus-sized badass heroine got the spotlight in this book and made for a very good read.
